    About

Pinnacle Sports have built themselves a pretty strong reputation as they now operate in over 200 countries around the world. Their service was established back in 1998, the year when they took their first online bet, but now they have grown into a major force and even though they haven’t gone down the usual route of big sponsorship deals with sports clubs, or even television advertising, they have made a very good name for themselves.

    Market Odds

When you can boast that you are putting out better value odds than a betting exchange (which doesn’t have the middleman cost) then you know you are in good hands from a value perspective. Whereas exchanges can charge up to 5% on winnings from settled markets, Pinnacle Sports just run with margin adjustments which overall gives them the lowest bookmaker margins around. This is good news, because the lower the margin a bookmaker offers, the more value a punter will get from a bet. They boast the best value odds, and they are keen to prove it too.

    Sportsbook

The Pinnacle Sports sportsbook may look a little compressed at first view, but it expands out into a much bigger product, offering a wide range of sports (and non-sports betting markets too like entertainment, politics and miscellaneous). The sportsbook is pretty solid, firmly left-hand menu driven, and when you select a market you will be presented with a list of events along with listings like handicaps, totals and match odds. Presentation is a little different from most bookmakers, and may take a little getting used to because of the book not being laid out like most bookmakers’ sportsbooks are. But the advantage is that although there is a big list in front of you, you don’t have to go searching through sub-markets, because the main ones are right there. A drawback is that the left hand menu disappears, which is a navigation niggle.

    Main Features

Arguably there is one standout feature above all the rest which are available at Pinnacle Sports. That is their high limits. Pinnacle Sports proudly boast that they offer the highest maximum bet limits online, and just to quantify that, the handicap limit for the 2014 World Cup Final was a staggering $1 million (or currency equivalent). To tie in with this, Pinnacle Sports actually have a Winners Welcome Policy. This basically means that it doesn’t matter how much you win at high limits, they won’t restrict your betting action with them.

Pinnacle Sports also welcome Arbitrage betting as well, a method of betting which allows a bettor to exploit differences in odds between bookmakers (e.g. most commonly when bookmakers disagree on odds for a specific market). There is also an entire eSports Betting Hub available as well, and there are brilliant betting articles available available on the site (they like giving out information), so that you can learn everything from betting strategies and betting psychology. There is also good mobile betting and other sections like their casino to enjoy.

    Promotions

You won’t find big promotions at Pinnacle Sports. That’s not what they do and for a reason. They’re alternative view to the rest of the homogenised betting industry, is to use their money to maintain the top value odds in their sportsbook. Their approach is to do as much as they can to provide bigger returns for users of their service, and not giveaway margins in free bets and bonuses.

    Customer Service

The Help section at Pinnacle Sports is pretty solid and answers to the most common questions about an account, betting, payment and rules are all itemised within the section. It’s a great first stop to help you with any issues. If you need a customer service representative, then you can contact them (defined by sections) via email. One great feature which could be classified as “help” are great video guides which can help educate bettors. You also Tweet them with requests for a market too.

    Review and Rating

Overall, Pinnacle Sports have built a reputation of being there for the customer, by offering things like high limits and some of the best odds around. They have done well in opening up a little niche for themselves. The operation of the sportsbook perhaps could be improved, but it’s a small price for getting the high value odds that are on offer.
